Information for travelling to the SECC, Glasgow, UK


 

We encourage our delegates to use public transport or to car share wherever possible.

Glasgow has excellent transport links to the rest of Britain and abroad. The SECC is a well-known landmark and can be easily reached by public transport within Glasgow or from the motorway.

By Rail

Queen Street Station serves central and northern Scotland, while Central Station is connected with cities throughout the UK. For details of rail services, contact:

Exhibition Centre station is SECC's dedicated railway station. Six trains an hour from Central Station (Platform 15) run to SECC in less than 5 minutes.

By Coach

Coach services run to Glasgow's Buchanan Bus Station from throughout the UK.

By Air

Glasgow is served by three international airports, Glasgow international, Glasgow Prestwick and Edinburgh International.

Glasgow International is less than 15 minutes drive by direct motorway link from the city centre. In addition, Fairline coaches run a daily bus service from the airport to the city centre, stopping off at the SECC. Coaches depart the airport every 20 minutes from 0710hrs. The journey to the SECC takes 20 minutes and costs £3 for a single journey.

By Taxi

There are taxi ranks throughout the city. Main pick up points include Buchanan Bus Station, Queen Street and Central Stations and most large hotels.

An average journey from the city centre to the SECC will cost around £5.

By Road

SECC is just of junction 19 of the M8 motorway. From within Glasgow the SECC is well signposted. Onsite parking is available for over 2,500 vehicles at £4.50 per car, per visit.
